World Cheese Awards 2011 – KALTBACH wins three gold medals

At the cheese industry's largest international competition – the World Cheese Awards in Birmingham (UK) - KALTBACH won three gold medals for KALTBACH Extra, which came top in two different categories as the best cheese, and for KALTBACH Le Gruyère AOC too. KALTBACH Extra was also awarded a gold medal last year.

In an independent test, well-known German TV chef Christian Rach tested the taste and quality of cheeses from the fresh products section of the supermarket. The clear winner was cave-aged KALTBACH Le Gruyère AOC from Emmi.

KALTBACH Extra won the gold medal at the World Cheese Awards 2010 in Birmingham, UK, at its first attempt. The jury was also impressed by KALTBACH Emmentaler AOC and put it on the winner's rostrum.

We're very proud of these accolades. The World Cheese Awards have been held each year since 1988. The 150-strong jury assesses over 2500 entries from 34 different countries.
